Developer submits proposals for Pets at Home’s new national distribution centre in Stafford

The proposed development of a 52-acre site at Stafford North Business Park, close to Junction 14 of the M6, will create a purpose-built warehouse unit, a three-storey office and two double-storey hub offices.

Plans include a new roundabout on the A34 Stone Road and a development access road serving the new warehouse unit. An additional 100,000sq ft of expansion land will also be available, if required.

Pets at Home has signed a 20-year conditional agreement for lease on the development, with construction set to start on site in 2021, pending planning consent by Stafford Borough Council.

Italian consulate, VFS Global launch new visa application centre in Dubai

Dubai: Residents can apply for visas to Italy at a new Visa Application Centre in Dubai without having to visit the Consulate General of Italy.

The new centre, located in DIFC, was officially inaugurated on Sunday by Valentina Setta, Consul General of Italy in Dubai, and Zubin Karkaria, CEO of VFS Global, in the presence of dignitaries from the Italian Consulate and VFS Global staff members.

The centre was jointly launched by the Italian consulate and VFS Global, a large outsourcing specialist for governments and diplomatic missions worldwide. The centre will initially accept applications for limited visa categories. It is located in Dubai International Financial Centre, The Gate Avenue, Zone C.

The Rajya Sabha was informed on Tuesday that a total of 16 countries including Nepal, the Maldives, Bhutan and Mauritius provide visa-free entry to Indian passport holders.

As per information provided by the minister of state for external affairs V Murleedharan, these countries provide visa-free entry:

Mr Alan Kwadwo Kyeremanten, the Minister for Trade and Industries (MoTI), has cut the sod for work to begin on the construction of a Business Advisory and Resource Centre (BRC) at Krapa in the Ejisu Municipality.

The facility, which is being funded by the government with support from the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and the Agricultural Development Bank (ADB), is expected to be completed in three months.

It will serve as a training and resource centre for businesses, especially the small and medium scale enterprises in the Ejisu Municipality.

Mr Kyeremanten, at the ceremony, said the project was part of the government’s strategy to support businesses with the necessary advisory services and skills to enable them efficiently manage their businesses.
