Five area businesses have won awards from the Prattville Area Chamber of Commerce during a virtual ceremony held during the pandemic.
The Chamber honored the businesses Thursday at an annual meeting that was held entirely online. That included four winners of Small Business of the Year in different size categories, an award that honors business success, chamber involvement and community service. Those winners were:
- Dana’s Floral Designs
- BWS Technologies
- LongHorn Steakhouse
- Stacy Little Media
Central Alabama Electric Cooperative won 2020 Industry of the Year for commitment to growth and investment in the community, and Home2 Suites sales and marketing director Ashley Kenney was named 2020 Ambassador of the Year.
“This year, we have so much to celebrate and the health and welfare of our members and community is paramount,” Chamber President Patty VanderWal said in a release. “As a result, we felt a virtual annual meeting was in the best interest of all concerned! The last six months has been very challenging for everyone, and the Prattville Chamber is no exception.
“I’m so very thankful to our membership and proud to say that the Prattville Chamber has been there every step of the way, helping our members and business community to recover, reopen and reconnect.”
