Mark Zuckerberg has a net worth of $107 billion but one of the lowest salaries at Facebook.

Not including security and plane costs, the company he founded pays him only $1 a year in base salary.

Meanwhile, many of Facebook’s other employees — from software engineers to product managers, copywriters, and lawyers — can expect to make a comfortable six figures.

But how much exactly?

Business Insider reviewed salary data published by the US government to understand how much employees at Facebook get paid. The data is drawn from visa applications submitted each year by companies, which are required to say how much they intend to pay each worker if their application is approved.

What engineers, data scientists, business analysts make at LinkedIn

Landing a job at LinkedIn can mean earning a six-figure salary. 

LinkedIn is the largest online professional network, and the company has more than 10,000 employees worldwide. Much like other tech companies, LinkedIn pays its employees well. However, the company had to cut 960 jobs due to the reduced demand for recruitment products during the pandemic, Business Insider previously reported. 

Business Insider analyzed the US Office of Foreign Labor Certification’s 2019 disclosure data for permanent and temporary foreign workers to find out how much LinkedIn paid employees for jobs, from entry-level titles to executive roles. The salary data is based on jobs in the US.  

LinkedIn applied for 779 visas in 2019, specifically for roles related to software engineering, data science, product managers, business analysts, and more.
