Burger King China Owner Weighs Sale of $1.2 Billion Unit

(Bloomberg) — TAB Food Investments, the largest global franchisee of Restaurant Brands International Inc., is exploring a sale of its China business in a deal that would value the asset at more than $1.2 billion, people with knowledge of the matter said.

TAB Foods, or TFI, is working with an adviser to gauge interest for its 50% stake in Burger King’s Chinese operations from potential suitors including private equity firms, the people said. A sale could kick off as soon as next month, the people said, asking not to be identified as the information is private.

Burger King released ad seeming to show mascot kissing Ronald McDonald ahead of Pride week

The Burger King and rival Ronald McDonald are cozying up in the royal fast food chain’s latest advertisement in Finland, which debuted last week.

The poster, which was featured throughout Finland, showed the mascots from both Burger King and McDonald’s kissing while in a tender embrace. The words underneath read “Love Conquers All.”

The campaign debuted just ahead of the country’s Pride festival, which was moved to September due to the coronavirus pandemic. Burger King is a sponsor of Helsinki Pride Week, Business Insider reported.


Though Ronald McDonald’s face is not shown, just the signature red hair, white face paint and yellow-and-red costume. It is not clear if McDonald’s was involved in the advertisement. A spokesperson did not immediately respond to Fox News’ request for comment.

This proposal might be for an In-N-Out Burger in Denver

The proposed location is just north of I-70 in the Northfield area near East 46th Avenue and Central Park Boulevard.

DENVER — A proposal submitted to the city of Denver Tuesday shows what could very well be the first In-N-Out Burger in city limits, if it’s approved.

The concept was submitted by Greenwood Village-based Galloway & Company Inc., which has been behind a handful of other proposed In-N-Out Burger locations in Colorado. Three of them – in Colorado Springs, Lone Tree and Aurora – could open this year.

Social Burger Provides Weekly Meals To Daytime Shelter

VIENNA, VA — Early during the pandemic, Social Burger owner Denise Lee was just looking for a way to keep her kitchen open. It started with providing meals to front-line workers at Inova Health System in March. But once it seemed like front-line workers were receiving help from a lot of places, Social Burger expanded its reach.

“I felt like the shelters needed a lot of help too,” Lee told Patch.

In late April, Social Burger started providing 40 weekly meals to the Lamb Center, a daytime drop-in shelter located in Fairfax. The Lamb Center has continued to provide crucial services like meals, laundry and showers for their homeless guests by letting in five guests at a time for 30-minute visits.
